Buildings and Footbridges: Design and Assessment

We support and back up numerically assessment and construction projects to gain credibility and approval from public or private entities.

Our field of expertise covers Structural Design, Assessments and Historic Structures for both buildings and light infrastructure including railway and highway footbridges.

Residential Structural Engineer's Reports

We aim to reduce conveyancing delays while gaining a full understanding of the condition of a building or site.

A generic RICS inspection, even if called 'Full Structural Survey' is only the first step in fully clarifying the extent of potential structural issues.

Our team can open up foundations, expose structural elements, or scan concrete reinforced structures as required.

The production of reports for agricultural buildings being developed into residential dwellings, particularly multi-bay slender agricultural buildings, requires a full numerical assessment and calculations report as no-one can ascertain such buildings' structural condition by merely visually inspecting them.

Expert Witness

A qualified structural engineer can help you with independent advice to support your case. Part 35 Compliant Expert Witness Reports. Unqualified technical advisors may render null any claim or agreement.

Building Regulations Approvals

Note that the issue of a building regulations approval is equivalent to certifying that the design follows basic normative only and does not provide any liabilities towards building or project owners.  Non qualified structural engineers will most likely have zero access to PI or Professional Indemnity insurance as the caveats from the insurance companies will contain clauses on specific structural engineering qualifications and experience.

Structural Surveys Tools - Movement Sensors - Specialist Equipment

Our specialist equipment includes concrete resistivity measurement tools, Schmidt Hammers, GPRs, concrete carbonate testing and a PS-300 Ferro-scanner.

Our latest area of interest: Movement sensors. What is the point in expending thousands in geotech investigations for your seaside property when the real source of the cracks in your building is the new double decker bus. route.

Temporary Works and Independent Checks

From full design to independent checks. Production of liability certificates and endorsement.

Temporary work designs can be as intricate as the permanent structure they serve and in most cases, worth an independent professional review. How many millions are lost every year in failed or delayed projects lacking essential peer reviews? Are you willing to expose your company to that risk? Independent checks have been our exclusive activity for years, including temporary works,

.

Our team regularly follows the latest structural safety bulletins and updates.
