Structural Engineers Cornwall Local and Heritage projects

Our favourite project is the structural renovation of a privately owned period building designed by the famous Cornish Architect and Former Mayor of Truro: Rt. Hon. Silvanus Trevail (1852-1903). We take pride in delivering qualified solutions for our work on some of the houses by the renowned Cornish Architect James Hicks in Redruth. Additionally, we have provided structural engineer surveys and assisted award-winning garden designers for projects in their family homes in Cornwall and London, as well as for their gardening shows.

We have successfully delivered nearly 500 projects safely and on time, providing qualified solutions that meet industry standards. The Institution gained its Royal Charter in March 1934, originally established at The Ritz Hotel, London on 21 July 1908 as the Concrete Institute, in response to the need for defining standards and rules for the proper use of concrete, including structural calculations and structural engineer surveys.

All our work is thoroughly reviewed internally. We do not undertake solo projects. Each year, we complete a few international projects, with our latest achievements including the structural design for a new low-rise hotel in Honduras and a nearshore pipe conduction project in the Canary Islands. Various new low-rise residential buildings are being developed. We are assisting in reinstating traffic on roads affected by closures due to building facade and structural safety issues, supported by qualified solutions. Our structural engineer surveys include various structural engineer reports that clarify matters and help unlock finance. Additionally, we are implementing drainage improvement schemes alongside wall removals and internal alterations, all backed by precise structural calculations.
