Design - Detailed Drawings - Building Regulations.  

We produce this type of work regularly and have a healthy rate of repeat customers. Recent projects include low-rise new builds, semi-basement designs and condition reports, and structural alterations. 

NOTE

In some cases, the architect´s drawings include an initial approach to structural arrangement, and minor modifications, minor wall repositioning and adjusted wall returns may be required for structural integrity and overall viability.

Note on Solar Panels:

We assess existing roof structures before the installation of photovoltaic panels, particularly where supplier calculations do not consider the specific construction and condition of the building. 

Note on ICF design: 

ICF can be a great way of achieving dwelling construction, but like any other method of construction the structural integrity and practicability rely on key aspects, which have to be detailed by an experienced structural engineer. Some ICF suppliers specialize in delivering a concrete superstructure shell using their improved polystyrene forms. This is marketed as a new standard in construction. However, this superstructure requires an internal separate steel frame within the new building, which can result in high additional costs. 

We provide structural inspections and reports for property purchases, visible defects and concerns identified during building surveys. Numerical analysis is provided where required, and all reports are reviewed internally.

A general RICS building survey, even where described as a “full structural survey”, will normally identify potential structural concerns rather than provide a detailed structural assessment. Where such concerns are raised, further investigation by a structural engineer is usually recommended.

We have experience delivering solutions, compliant drawings and calculations for alterations, such as chimney and wall removals, additional storeys to residential properties and a variety of assessment reports, and in some cases addressing mining-related issues.
